Charise, thank you so much for bringing these beautiful vintage Kansas City Star blocks back to life! I am so looking forward to this sew-a-long. My question is this, how many blocks will we be making? Also, will there be any suggestions for putting the quilt together at the end?
ReplyDeleteLove your blogspot and virtually everything that you do. It's so creative and whimsical.
Thank you,
Nettie

There will be 12 block - 1 per month. I may provide a few more patterns : )
DeleteI will have some ideas for sashing at the end.
Tks for the questions Nettie!!!
You are just the kindest most generous person I think I've ever met - well not met but you know what i mean. Thank you so much for this block because I LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteTks Patti!!!
DeleteI agree with the comments above. Your blogspot is one of my favorites! Thanks for all your work!
ReplyDeleteTks for the kind words Connie!!!
DeleteWhen will we be seeing the pattern for December and January? I love these old designs as I remember a lot of them from my first quilting attempts.
ReplyDeleteTks for the inquiry!! I'm working on December and hope to have it up soon. I will also post January later this month. Tks for your patience!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful blocks these are! Thanks so much. I put a link on quiltbom on the piecing page.
ReplyDeleteLove all your blocks so far! Do you have a particular fabric line you're using? Love the small prints and vintage look :) Thanks so much for going through all the work it takes to make up the tutorials and patterns :)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your beautiful patterns. I'm finding it somewhat hard to find "vintage" fabrics. Any suggestions? Also, it's the end of July 2013 and I'm wondering if you are, in fact, going to have 12 blocks by October 2013. Not that I'm in a hurry, but I look each month for a new one and so far there are only seven. I hope if you don't have time to do them all by October that you will extend your time, so that we can get all 12 blocks! Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteCharise, I am new to craftsy and I LOVE your blocks! I would like to make them. I am an old soul, and these types of blocks make my heart sing!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Eleanor
Love the 8 blocks posted. Where do I find the next 4 blocks?
ReplyDeleteI am a bit behing : ) I just created block #9 and I am scheming and plotting #10 : ) Enjoy!!!
DeleteI just happened upon this QAL from Flickr...wondering if the last two blocks are out, or is this QAL still in progress? I just love the vintage blocks and fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI'm just wondering if there will be blocks 11 & 12 for this BOM? Thank you for all of your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHi - There is one more block coming. I will provide ideas for sashing your quilt as well. Stay tuned : )
DeleteThank you so much for taking the time to make these patterns, templates and tutorials Charise. I have only just found them and am really looking forward to making the quilt up. Best wishes Yvonne
ReplyDeleteI was wondering were i could find block #12.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if block 12 is available? I have been watching and looking hoping I didn't miss it. I want to thank you for all the hard work you put into making these beautiful blocks for all of us. It is nice to know there is someone who can put my thoughts into actual designs.
ReplyDeleteThanks much,
Vicky
There is a photo of block 12 on flickr, but I can't find the instructions either. The layout instructions are coming, according to the blog, but the links seem to be missing. There is a # in front of the title on the flickr site so I expect it is only available by some other medium. I don't "twitter" or tweet, so I don't think I will be able to get the last block. I still have a few blocks to make and was waiting for the last set of instructions to select the fabrics for the final blocks. Looking fowrard to complete this one, the patterns are vintage but not often seen in quilts, I think because of their complexity. Love the patterns.
